Bucher Denwel becomes main sponsor of the Swiss Beer Awards 2026
Bucher Denwel becomes the main sponsor of the Swiss Beer Awards 2026, Switzerland's largest beer competition.

Press release: February 2026
In 2026, Bucher Denwel will be the main sponsor of the Swiss Beer Awards, Switzerland’s biggest award programme for beer. Bucher Denwel is one of the leading and most well-known suppliers of production equipment for breweries – and the Schweizer Brauerei-Verband (SBV) industry association is happy to have the company on board as a strong partner. The winning beers will be presented to an audience with distinguished political and business representatives, as well as other guests, on Award Night on 16 April 2026.
Bucher Denwel manufactures, supplies and commissions complete production facilities, offering breweries components, machinery, and engineering and automation solutions for everything from brewhouse equipment to specialised filtration and tank systems.
“The Swiss Beer Awards offer us the opportunity to make our extensive experience with production equipment for both large and small breweries known to an expert audience as well”, says Daniel Schneider, CEO of Bucher Unipektin, which Bucher Denwel is a part of. This explains why the company was so interested in becoming the main sponsor of the Swiss Beer Awards. “With this fifth edition of the Swiss Beer Awards, the Schweizer Brauerei-Verband is once again putting Swiss beer in the spotlight in a major way and increasing its popularity”, Schneider explains. “It’s therefore clear that we as an innovative company would like to support this and contribute our expertise.”
Says Christoph Lienert, Deputy Director of the SBV: “I’m pleased that with Bucher Denwel, we were able to obtain such a competent partner as the main sponsor of the Swiss Beer Awards. After all, if you want to brew beer of outstanding quality, you need to have excellent production facilities.”
The Swiss Beer Awards honour the best beers in different categories that are brewed in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The aim of the Swiss Beer Awards is to make Swiss beer, with its huge variety and excellent quality, more well known to a broad public. With more than 1,100 official breweries, Switzerland can rightfully be referred to as a brewing and beer paradise.
The Swiss Beer Awards are supported by a large number of companies and organisations. The following are represented on the Steering Committee:
